Peak is an ops problem. I build software that helps rural co-ops and munis run load and DER programs with the people and devices they already have.

02Notes

I interned at Mountain Rural Electric, earned a BSEE from Colorado School of Mines, then spent four years at Calyx Systems building tools that lived next to the control room. The pattern was always the same: co-ops and munis needed peak and DER software that respected short staffed shifts and long buying cycles, not another dashboard for a consulting deck. I founded Lodegrid in 2022. We raised a $4.5M seed, signed twenty-eight co-op and municipal customers across roughly 210 MW of managed load, and grew to a team of fourteen. I still ride along on field installs. The product review that matters is the duty operator at 4 p.m. on a peak day.

Peak is ops, not a slide

Price signals matter. For a co-op, the product is still the operating loop that makes a peak window survivable for a short staffed duty shift.

Sell a coalition

Co-ops buy as institutions. The GM, the board, ops, and IT all have to live with the system for a decade. Design the sale and the product for that coalition.
